HOW JESUS'S FOLLOWERS DIED

"They that lived godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution."

1. MATTHEW: killed by the sword in Ethiopia.
2. MARK: dragged to death in the streets of Alexandria, Egypt.
3. LUKE: hanged by idolatrous priests on an olive tree in Greece.
4. JAMES the GREATER: [Zebedee] beheaded at Jerusalem by Herod.
5. JAMES the LESS: thrown from the Temple pinnacle, then beaten to death in Egypt.
6. ANDREW: bound to a cross, but preached until he died.
7. THOMAS: run through with a lance in India.
8. JUDAS: shot to death with arrows.
9. SIMON SELOTES: crucified in Persia.
10. MATTHIAS: first stoned and then beheaded.
11. PETER: crucified with his head downward in Rome.
12. PAUL: beheaded in Rome.
